REFINEMENT OF NATURAL SCIENCE
Dr Jackson's natural products is a niche cosmeceutical company producing natural organic products based on Pharmacognosy* principles, utilising the best from nature.Learning from traditional healers, Dr Jackson’s natural products uses techniques, which mimic as close as possible the way that these natural ingredients are harvested and extracted at source. It has taken 17 years of research in laboratories around the world, in vitro and in vivo testing, collaborating with the best formulation scientists to produce the initial range of skin care products, and leading with the day moisturiser.Dr Jackson is a pharmacognosist who has been researching ethno-pharmacological leads (traditional medicines) from the rainforests of the Amazon to the rainforests of Indonesia and is now currently working in Sub-Saharan Africa on the more temperate tropical forests identifying new drug leads from other traditional medicines, working with local healers, shamans, and indigenous plants. Dr Jackson did his PhD as a pharmacognosist at Kings College, University of London, followed by a post-doctoral research position at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, specialising in skin disorders. *Pharmacognosy is the study of medicines from natural products.

Products
Dr Jacksons first product is a signature cream consisting of a day moisturiser that visibly helps sun damaged skin; it promotes elasticity in the skin, whilst tightening - especially around the eyes. After only a small period of time, skin becomes rejuvenated and feedback from the initial launch has been outstanding. The cream has been used by leading make-up artists on elite models, as well as by people in the even more skin-challenging conditions of day-to-day life! Wearers have reported experiencing (and being complimented on!) radiance and smoothness of skin that rolls back the years.The first cream is based on natural ingredients from a plant called Kigelia pinnata - found in parts of Sub Saharan Africa. Traditionally the tree has been used by tribal women to ensure clear, blemish free skin and as a skin and breast firming remedy.Compounds identified within the plant have been shown to attach to dark pigmentation and stop melanin production, thus allowing for an even skin tone, especially effective on sun damaged skin, sun spots, liver spots and it has an anti-inflammatory effect so reduces redness and in general gives a blemish free skin.
